Goodbye Ramadan
The crescent moon, a whisper in the sky,
Brings bittersweet farewell, a single sigh.
Soon you'll depart, a treasure you bestow,
Lessons learned, a seed that helps me grow.
No month feels as blessed, your grace a gentle hand,
Pulling me from the race, a moment to stand.
Reflecting deep, where shadows intertwine,
Facing my nefs, a chance to make things shine.
Sabr is tested, love for Allah burns bright,
Iman revealed, a beacon in the night.
Stumbles and falls, but with each rising sun,
Strength is renewed, the battle's nearly won.
The scent of dates lingers, a sweet memory,
Of pre-dawn Suhoor meals, a time to be free.
Ten nights remain, a fervent, silent plea,
Laylat al-Qadr's embrace, oh Allah, grant me!
Ramadan, I cherish you, a gift divine,
The Quran's guidance, forever mine.
Gratitude overflows, a heart that praises,
Alhamdu'lillah, for all the wondrous things.
With open arms, we greet the days to come,
Ramadan's spirit, a light overcome.
May we carry its lessons, a guiding flame,
Until next year, when we meet again
By the will of the One Who gave us the month of Ramadan
Ameen
