What a beautiful framework out of such pain! And to share it with others is such a gift to us all. Thank you.
You write poetically, Nour. I especially loved this line "Structure, I realized, isn’t confinement; it is mercy — a gentle scaffolding that gives the soul room to rebuild." And I agree. Structure and routine can be a powerful tool to feel safe and find strength.
Aww 🥰 Katie! Thank you so much! ANC you’re totally right about structure being so powerful. Btw how is Charlie? Dogs are great teachers on structure ♥️
You're so kind to remember him! <3 He's doing great. Some days his limp returns but most days he is still energetic and wants to run and fetch. We often have to save him from himself and keep him on the leash so he doesn't hurt himself and tear his knee up again. He certainly keeps us on a schedule, though - he wakes me up just about every day at 7 am. I love our morning routine. Do you have pets, Nour?
That’s awesome and he sounds like the typical golden retriever 🤣 I don’t have any pets at the moment. My apartment isn’t the right place for a dog. And unfortunately I’m allergic to cats. But I did have dogs, cats, rabbits and birds growing up. I used to be able to tolerate cats but no longer 😭
"I hadn’t stayed anything — I had simply been carried."
Oof. I feel the same way about many of my life's curveballs and how I survived them. I really didn't. It wasn't me.
May Allah guide you and guide many through you, ameen!
Ameen and may Allah give you more! Isn’t it beautiful when you realize how Allah guides us? Thanks for sharing! Curveballs indeed.
